Independent Women’s Organization Endorses Judge Piper Griffin As Best Choice For Louisiana Supreme Court

After a rigorous interview and vetting process that asked candidates about key policies and issues that greatly affect the community, the Independent Women’s Organization has endorsed Judge Piper Griffin as the best choice for Louisiana Supreme Court.

The IWO joins the Alliance for Good Government, AFL-CIO, Forum for Equality, Voters Organized to Educate, and others in endorsing Judge Griffin who was selected by the Louisiana Supreme Court to fill a vacancy at the Civil District Court. She has served on the court for more than 20 years and held critical positions including Chief Judge, Disaster Recovery Committee Chair, Finance Committee Chair, and Technology Chair.

“I am grateful for the endorsement of the Independent Women’s Organization who not only saw the passion that I have for justice, but share in those same values and principles,” said Judge Griffin. “I have spent my life working in and for the community serving our young people, our elderly, our church community, friends, as well as people in need that I didn’t know. The decision and desire to serve is a matter of choice that when done right creates a ripple effect felt far beyond anything you could have imagined.”

Judge Griffin’s vast experienced is evidenced by the committees in which she serves and shares her knowledge and expertise, inclusive of the Louisiana Supreme Court Budgetary Control Board and Louisiana Supreme Court Committee on Judicial Ethics. She has also served as a Past President of the Louisiana Judicial Council/National Bar Association.

Judge Griffin is a proud graduate of Xavier Prep, University of Notre Dame, and LSU Law School. She is involved in several professional and civic organizations and is a dedicated community servant who is committed to helping others. Among her greatest achievements, Judge Griffin counts being selected as a grader for the Constitutional Law Bar Exam, which eventually led to being named a Constitutional Law Bar Examiner by the Louisiana Supreme Court.
